Menteri Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, menyatakan kesiapannya untuk melaksanakan program ambisius pembangunan 3 juta rumah yang menjadi janji kampanye Presiden Prabowo Subianto. Untuk mencapai target ini, ia merencanakan kolaborasi dengan lima pengusaha besar sebagai bagian dari strategi optimalisasi sumber daya.
Dengan anggaran sebesar Rp 5,07 triliun yang juga harus dialokasikan untuk pembangunan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Nusantara, Maruarar menegaskan bahwa ia tidak akan menyerah meskipun menghadapi keterbatasan dana.
"Untuk IKN 2025 dialokasikan sekitar Rp 1,2 triliun, jadi tersisa sekitar Rp 3,5 triliun untuk perumahan. Namun, apakah saya menyerah? Tentu tidak," ujar Maruarar dalam sebuah diskusi di Kementerian PUPR, Jakarta Selatan, Senin, 28 Oktober 2024.
Lahan Sitaan Koruptor di Banten Salah satu lokasi utama proyek ini adalah di Banten, di mana Kementerian PKP berencana memanfaatkan lahan seluas 1.000 hektare yang merupakan aset sitaan Kejaksaan Agung dari kasus korupsi.
"Di hari pertama kerja, saya langsung mengunjungi Kejaksaan Agung. Di Banten, kami telah mengidentifikasi 1.000 hektare lahan sitaan dari koruptor yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk rakyat," jelas Maruarar pada Selasa, 29 Oktober 2024.
Pemanfaatan lahan ini diharapkan dapat menekan biaya pembangunan, sehingga harga rumah menjadi lebih terjangkau bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah.
"Kalau lahannya diberikan secara murah atau gratis, dan material bangunan juga terjangkau, kami yakin bisa menawarkan harga rumah yang sangat murah bagi rakyat," tambahnya.
